Meet the Lead Trainer
My name is Darci Nyal, and I am the founder of Amitié Yoga, an E-RYT 500 yoga teacher, FRC® Instructor, and movement educator. For more than a decade, I have taught yoga, mobility, strength, and teacher trainings across Canada.
My work blends traditional yoga practices with modern movement science, helping students better understand how their bodies move, adapt, and build resilience. I teach with curiosity, practicality, and a touch of playfulness, with the goal of giving teachers tools they can immediately bring into their own classes.
The only thing left to do is, say YES!

For those wanting to teach after training is complete, there will be homework, including reading assignments, written essays, and partner work. Yes, upon completion and certification, you will be qualified to teach yoga classes. Our program prepares you with the necessary skills, knowledge, and confidence to start teaching right away. However, most teachers start with what is often referred to as ‘Community Classes’, which are discounted classes that encourage folks to attend a new teachers class. This will give you the opportunity to build your skills in a classroom environment. Most teachers start here and within 10-15 classes move on to regular classes.
Absolutely. I provide 12 hours of continued mentorship after the training is complete. That time can be spent doing check-ins, reviewing class plans, or taking your classes and providing feedback. Beyond that, there is a teacher mentorship program you can check out if you want to continue growing alongside the support of a mentor.
This training focuses on Hatha and Vinyasa yoga, providing a strong foundation in these styles. The skills you learn can be applied to teaching other styles as well, and I encourage you to continue learning and exploring different yoga traditions. Teachers who complete this training go on to teach Gentle Hatha, Hatha Yoga and Vinyasa Yoga class styles.
You can register for the training by clicking here and completing the registration form. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at [email protected].
If you haven’t heard of me before this training, it can feel like a big leap of faith to trust in my teaching. I completely understand that. I recommend you reach out to see where I’m teaching, or check out some of my free online classes I have listed on Youtube. I would also be happy to connect you with past trainees and you can have an honest and more candid conversation with them about my values, what I offer and how best I would support you. Email me at [email protected] if this is something you would like to explore.

You can take any online classes on youtube if getting into a group public class isn’t possible. There is also a recommended reading list that will be provided to you upon registration that you can begin to read.
I limit the class size to ensure each student receives personalized attention and support. This allows for a more intimate learning environment where you can get the feedback and guidance you need. I will be accepting a minimum of 8 students into the program and 12 as a maximum.
