Refund, Returns & Cancellations

This section is specific to product purchases

Overview

Our refund and returns policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we can’t offer you a full refund or exchange. The only exception to this policy is in regards to booking workshops or retreats.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.

Additional non-returnable items:

  • Gift cards
  • Downloadable products
  • Some health and personal care items

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted:

  • Book with obvious signs of use
  • CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, video game, cassette tape, or vinyl record that has been opened.
  • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
  • Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or missing refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at {email address}.

Sale items

Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at {email address} and send your item to: {physical address}.

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.

Shipping returns

To return your product, you should mail your product to: {physical address}.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

What happens if I have to cancel?

You can cancel at anytime and we’ll apply whatever amounts you have already paid (mins a $300 admin fee) to the next retreat.  The $300 covers all the administrative fees and time plus bank fees.

What happens if I get covid and have to cancel days before the retreat?

You can cancel at anytime and we’ll apply whatever amounts you have already paid (mins a $300 admin fee) to the next retreat.  The $300 covers all the administrative fees and time plus bank fees.

COVID SAFETY POLICY:

What is the Covid safety plan for the retreat?

We really don’t know what restrictions might be in place come September and because so many of us want to feel safe and comfortable with being in close proximity to one another – we are requiring that all attendees complete an at home antigen test 3 days prior to coming on retreat and the morning before you travel.  This way it doesn’t matter what is happening in the world, or with ourselves or others, we know that when we arrive to the retreat facility, we can feel 100% confident that we are all healthy and well.  Please keep in mind that the retreat wouldn’t be possible if we had to adhere to physical distancing, as practicing, eating and sleeping accommodations don’t allow for it.  If government restrictions change so much that we have to cancel the retreat, everyone’s paid amounts will be transferred to the rescheduled date.

Karma, often misunderstood as a system of reward and punishment, is more accurately the cycle of action and consequence shaped by our choices, thoughts, and intentions. Sadhguru’s quote reminds us that when we live life as an expression of our inner happiness—rather than chasing external sources of joy—we naturally create positive actions that ripple out into the world. This shift in perspective not only cultivates good karma but also nurtures a life of alignment and fulfillment for ourselves and those around us. Karma, then, becomes a reflection of how we live, rather than what we seek.

Tomorrow I teach one of my last classes here in Whitehorse. I’m telling one of the stories of Ganesh and how he broke his tusk. We will be exploring what continuation looks like when something breaks, changes, or in my case when I move away. We’ll look to the new teachers here who are excited and eager to carry these teachings forward with integrity and care. And although I’m returning to where my heart belongs, I’ll be back Whitehorse. I’ll be back.

I’ve started to slowly write a new training manual in my spare time for a continued education workshop for Yoga and movement teachers. It’s for the Stretch & Stabilize class I’ve been teaching for years—something originally created while working with athletes, and has evolved into a quiet kind of strength practice for all kinds of bodies.

Today I was writing about midline control—how subtle core awareness helps you stay steady through balance, transitions, and effort. Not the kind of core that crushes you in planks, but the kind that helps you move with steadiness, even when your body feels wobbly or tired.

moving towards something new doesn’t mean saying goodbye is easy.

What a rebirth it has been living here. To be a different version of the same me. To practice all my teachings. To teach what feels true and authentic to me. To not be held by old narratives or versions of me that no longer exist. How freeing it has been.
